One of our longstanding customers, a critical services organisation operating across the UK and Europe, have a requirement for a junior engineer to join their existing M&E maintenance team at their London HQ. This is an 8-5 role running Monday to Friday, and along with a guideline salary of £28-30,000 there is a £1800 travel allowance, as well as opportunity for some overtime along with attractive pension scheme, healthcare, etc.
The position is ‘client-side’, working for an inhouse data centre organisation covering planned and reactive maintenance to electrical and HVAC systems. The company are looking for a junior engineer, ideally electrically biased and having just completed an apprenticeship, or recently qualified through other means. This is due to wanting to give this individual the opportunity to come into the data centre environment with a fresh mindset, who can learn from the existing teams technical experience within maintenance to critical systems such as motors, UPS systems, diesel generators, HV distribution, pumps, AC systems, etc.
Candidates will have City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualifications, and additional training such as 18th edition certificate, etc will be beneficial. The company are rapidly growing with a presence across mainland Europe with over 45 different data centres. With this being a sector of huge growth with a demand for building services engineers with critical site/data centre experience, this is an outstanding opportunity to gain this experience in an entry level position, learning from experienced staff, and to move into a client direct position with excellent benefits.
